Stress-Free Kitchen Refits

Our projects sometimes involve major structural work, such as knocking down walls, rewiring, plumbing, and plastering. We also reorganise the layout to make the kitchen more functional.

Most of the time, however, the existing kitchen layout works perfectly and just requires a much-needed revamp.

There are plenty of reasons why our clients come to us for revamp; often, they’ve moved into a new home and adopted a kitchen that’s not to their style, outdated, poorly fitted or made from cheaper and ineffective materials that won’t stand the test of time.

Others have just outgrown their first kitchen, whether that be a busier household that requires more worktop space and more suitable appliances, or they’ve grown older and need more accessible kitchen solutions that can give them more independence for longer.

A kitchen refit is the perfect opportunity to improve function, practicality, and aesthetics. With added drawers, corner carousels, space-saving storage, improved task lighting, hot water taps, and ovens built in at eye level for easier access, a kitchen refit helps to future-proof the kitchen for all ages.

Kitchen refits still require a lot of work; you’ll need your original kitchen ripped out and disposed of, as well as some minor replumbing, electric work, plastering, and flooring to make the space complete again after your new kitchen is fitted.

The benefit of choosing Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Kitchens is that we can take care of everything without subcontracting or stress.

We do everything under one roof and can do as much or as little as you need, so we'll make sure the whole process goes smoothly from start to end, dealing with any niggles along the way as well as ensuring you are 100% happy afterwards, too.

Total transformation – project managed by professionals.

A simple kitchen refit won’t require any structural work, but it will make a huge difference by creating a contemporary or classic kitchen that works for you and your lifestyle.

You'll be amazed at the difference a kitchen upgrade can make to your home. It's the opportunity to rethink your existing space and iron out day-to-day niggles to make the room more enjoyable. Our clients are often amazed at how much can be done with their existing space with simple tips and tricks that our designers have learnt along the way.

It all starts with our team asking the right questions, such as, who lives in your home? How do you spend time in your kitchen? – or more importantly, how would you like to spend time in your kitchen?

These questions lead them to put forward design choices like designated pan drawers, converting dining tables into kitchen islands, or exploring new and innovative options for your kitchen, like a hot water tap or a warming drawer.

After all, we're the experts; the perfect kitchen design should be a collaboration between you and a design expert to create something beautiful, functional and perfect for you as the end user, and that's precisely what we do.

From dark and outdated to light and modern

One of our satisfied customers came to us looking to replace their dated kitchen. Functionally, there wasn't much wrong with it, but the appliances were old, and they wanted to give it a fresh new look.

We talked about how they used the space and discussed moving their dining table into their orangery and replacing it with a length of quartz worksurface to create additional prep space with an overhang for a little breakfast bar.

The cabinets are now a lovely painted soft green while the flooring is laid with large format tiles, which enhances a feeling of space.

We added extra storage with an open shelving unit for cookbooks and replaced all the appliances with the latest Neff ovens for better energy efficiency, an induction hob for easy cleaning and an integrated fridge and freezer.

There's plenty of integrated storage, too, with a Le Mans corner unit and pull-outs to make the most of every inch. Integrating their white appliances has made the kitchen seem so much bigger and tidier.

Before and After

The result is a beautiful, clutter-free kitchen that works in harmony with its surroundings and gives its owner the light and space to enjoy cooking and dining in a kitchen that will stand the test of time.

Whatever your kitchen project size or budget, we can help. We’ll do it all while reducing the stress, leaving you to focus on the fun part of the kitchen renovation journey, like choosing paint colours and showing off your brand-new kitchen to your friends and family.
